July 30, 2012 – Wieland is pleased to announce that its products have successfully earned six major furniture and interior design awards within the last few cycles of award recognitions. Officials note that these accomplishments are direct results of extensive voice-of-customer research conducted by the Wieland brand.
Recent awards honoring Wieland Healthcare’s product innovation include the coveted NeoCon Gold 2010 for it’s Allay® sleep sofa; The Nightingale Award 2011, Best of Healthcare Design Show 2011, NeoCon Gold 2012, IDEA Design Award 2012, and Product Innovation Award 2012 for Wieland’s sleepToo® virtual family room sleep sofa. Each award is significant within the healthcare industry, and better positions Sauder Manufacturing and the Wieland brand as an industry leader within the furniture design arena.
Through consumer observations and discussions with industry decision makers enable Wieland to develop sleep sofas to meet increasing needs for in-room healthcare solutions. Similarly, designers require that the solutions be handled in a aesthetically pleasing way. Wieland’s brand of healthcare furniture is designed and manufactured as commercial-grade furniture for public facilities and is recognized throughout the United States as a leader within the healthcare industry.
“Our accomplishments are the result of many great minds working together to full unmet needs,” stated Blair Wieland, vice president of Product Development and lead designer for Sauder Manufacturing Co. “For patients and families, we have addressed their needs for function and comfort unlike anything else in the industry and have helped improve the patient recovery outcomes. For architects, designers, and healthcare professionals, we have created solutions that simplify and save space, time, and money. These awards are a tribute to our work, but more importantly, a testament to our products’ real-world success.”
