when designing for healthcare spaces, we consider more than what meets the eye.
With the perk chair + smartrail, every detail is intentional—from the visible form to the materials working quietly in support. Beneath the comfort and the thoughtfully molded frame lies a component designed not only for structural support, but for lasting purpose.
Engineered with intention, the under-seat panel is made from recycled material—reflecting a deeper commitment to sustainability that considers not only how a product looks or functions, but how it contributes to a more responsible future. Formed from recycled polypropylene, the panel gives continued purpose to materials once used for everyday items—like milk jugs and food containers— now shaped to quietly support the rigors of daily care.
Recycled plastics are transformed into durable components through compression molding, a process that gives discarded materials renewed value in long-term applications. Even in high-performance environments, this panel stands for more than function. It reflects a purposeful move toward reducing material waste and embracing long-term, resource-conscious design.
Opting for recycled polypropylene allows us to prioritize sustainability in the details, supporting healthcare environments built to last and shaped by purpose. It’s one small part of a larger commitment: to design with care, build responsibly, and create furniture that reflects the values of the spaces it serves.
